That’s where iSeeCars’ latest survey comes in. They analyzed 400 million cars to determine which were most likely to reach 250,000 miles and beyond.
You won’t be totally blown away by the results. Toyota dominates the list, taking the top nine spots (including three Lexus). Honda is next. Keep in mind, however, this is how likely owners are to drive these cars into the ground. Not necessarily how reliable they are. But I’d say it goes a bit hand in hand.

Alright, if you are looking for a reliable commuter that can get you to 250,000 miles, here are the top five. And, again, this doesn’t mean they will never have issues. In fact, there have even been recalls for many models on this list.
But there’s gotta be a reason that owners are driving their vehicles this much.
Toyota Sequoia
Topping the list at 39.1 percent, the Sequoia is the vehicle most likely to reach 250,000 miles, more than eight times the industry average. The full-size SUV has long been known for its truck-based bones, borrowing much of its platform and drivetrain durability from the Tundra.
The latest generation pairs a torque-rich hybrid drivetrain with genuine off-road ability, giving owners a vehicle that can handle both family duty and heavier work without wearing out early.

Toyota 4Runner
The 4Runner lands in second place with a 32.9 percent shot at the quarter-million-mile mark. This mid-size SUV has built its reputation over decades on a simple, body-on-frame design that trades some modern refinement for mechanical simplicity, something high-mileage owners tend to appreciate.
It’s a favorite among overlanders and commuters alike who want a rig that keeps running long after the warranty expires.
Toyota Highlander Hybrid
Coming in third at 31.0 percent, the Highlander Hybrid is the top-rated hybrid on the entire list. Its strong showing points to a broader trend in the data: hybrid drivetrains are proving to be just as durable, if not more so, than their gas-only counterparts.

Toyota Tundra
The Tundra pickup rounds out the top four Toyotas with a 30.0 percent chance of reaching 250,000 miles. Lexus IS
Breaking up the Toyota sweep is the Lexus IS, which comes in fifth at 27.5 percent. As a sport sedan built on Toyota’s engineering DNA, the IS shows that reaching high mileage isn’t just a truck or SUV story.
Its inline-six and V6 powertrains have a track record for smooth, low-maintenance operation, making it a rare luxury sedan that can rack up serious miles without the typical upkeep headaches.
