Is $50k the new $35k? When did "affordable" cars get this expensive?
Tried to buy a Camry last week. A well-equipped XSE is $38k. A base Highlander is $42k. The average new car transaction price is now over $48k. I remember when you could get a loaded midsize sedan for under $30k. What happened? Is it just corporate greed or are cars genuinely that much better?
Real talk: is EV range anxiety still a thing in 2026?
My wife wants to go full EV for our next car. I'm hesitant. We do a 400-mile drive to visit family 3-4 times a year. I know the charging network has improved but I keep hearing horror stories about broken chargers and 45-minute waits. For those who've owned an EV for 2+ years and do regular road trips: is range anxiety real or just fear of the unknown?
Is a used 2024 Model Y still worth it or should I wait for the refresh?
Seeing 2024 Model Y Long Range for around $35k with 20k miles. Tempted but I've heard the 2026 refresh has new battery tech and updated interior. Anyone who owns a 2024 — any regrets? How's the battery degradation after 2 years? And is the FSD subscription actually worth the $200/month?
Silverado vs F-150 for towing a 7,000 lb travel trailer?
Looking at either the 2026 Silverado 1500 LT with the 6.2L V8 or the F-150 XLT with the 3.5L EcoBoost for towing our new travel trailer (7,200 lbs loaded). Both seem capable on paper but I want real owner experiences. How's the stability? Fuel economy while towing? Any issues with transmission temps on long grades?
Is the 330i still the benchmark sport sedan or has everyone else caught up?
Cross-shopping the 330i, Integra Type S, and Genesis G70 3.3T. The BMW is the most expensive by $8-10k. Is the driving experience really that much better or am I just paying for the badge? I test drove all three and the Genesis surprised me the most.
