We just saw a study the other day that people are growing tired of gray cars. They want color! They want style! Well, it seems that automakers are listening (at least to the style part). We first got the aggressive and “sinister” Lotus Emira Scura, and now Genesis is bringing the Prestige Graphite trim to the GV70 SUV.
Genesis announced the Prestige Graphite lineup today, adding the trim to the GV70 following its debut on the G70. This will bring a sportier look to the GV70, an already pretty performance-focused SUV that I’ve seen on the track myself. Said Tedros Mengiste, Chief Operating Officer at Genesis Motor NA: “GV70 continues to set the benchmark by seamlessly blending athletic capability, bold designs and everyday versatility. The Prestige Graphite trim amplifies GV70’s already confident character, making it an ideal choice for those who like to make a bold impression.”
The 2027 Genesis GV70 Prestige Graphite offers bolder, performance-inspired styling
The exterior of the 2027 GV70 Prestige Graphite features a darker, more aggressive styling that highlights its performance-driven features. This includes 21″ dark metallic glossy alloy wheels with exclusive red brake calipers, gloss black mirror caps and dark chrome accents for a sleek, athletic vibe. You can choose between Ceres Blue Matte and Bering Blue, two new exterior paint colors, alongside Makalu Gray and Uyuni White.
The interior features Nappa leather seating with suede inserts and headrest logo embossing throughout. The carbon fiber extends throughout the cabin, giving it a more aggressive, bold appearance — “it provides a striking visual contract to the soft-touch materials,” stated Genesis in a press release. There is also a new startup animation for the Prestige Graphite trim that highlights the SUV’s performance styling for an immersive experience as you enter the vehicle.
The exterior of the 2027 GV70 Prestige Graphite features a darker, performance-driven character that sets it apart from the rest of the lineup. The vehicle has 21” dark metallic glossy alloy wheels which enhance its athletic stance. Complementing the wheels are new, exclusive red brake calipers that emphasize the model’s performance orientation and give the exterior a bold touch. Gloss black mirror caps add a sleek, athletic feel, while dark chrome accents applied throughout the exterior further refine GV70’s already distinctive styling.

As you can see, this is a completely visual upgrade, just like the G70’s Prestige Graphite trim. When this was announced back in 2025, Mengiste said: “The Prestige Graphite trim builds on [its] appeal, offering a bold, distinctive option for drivers who value a daily fun-to-drive experience and a connection to the road.” At the time, the G70’s Prestige Graphite had all of the same exterior and interior details as the recently announced GV70’s, not mentioning any performance-related upgrades.
Brand new, the 2025 G70 Prestige Graphite was priced at $56,900, whereas the base G70 from the same year started at $43,250. We haven’t been told the price for the 2027 GV70 Prestige Graphite just yet, but the base 2027 GV70 is selling for $46,200, so we’re probably looking at around $60,000. Pricing and availability will be shared by Genesis soon. The 2027 GV70 Prestige Graphite will be on display at the New York International Auto Show from April 3rd through the 12th.
