Jeep<\/a> has unveiled the latest installment in its Twelve 4 Twelve Wrangler series. The \u201cSmoky Mountain Special Edition,\u201d which is the tenth unique Jeep package in the series, was aptly unveiled at the brand\u2019s Smoky Mountain Invasion.<\/p>\n

The event brings 50,000 attendees and 20,000 Jeep vehicles to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. And the special edition vehicle is an attempt to capture a lot of that Smoky Mountain atmosphere.<\/p>\n

The special edition off-roader features a few unique aesthetic twists. Its hood decals are inspired by the \u201cSmoky Mountains,\u201d as are its 17-inch rims. Jeep\u2019s iconic seven-slot grille is a gloss black, while the hard top and fender flares match the color of the vehicle\u2019s body.<\/p>\n

Inside, the theme continues. The seats are upholstered in a premium black Ferndale cloth.Both the seats themselves and the upper seat bolsters are embossed with a \u201crugged texture\u201d and the Willys 1947 parachute graphic. Terracotta accent stitching contrasts with all of this, popping against the black interior.<\/p>\n

The instrument panel has been wrapped in an Addax technical-pattern. Anodized carbon trim rings, complete with a \u201csmoked out finish\u201d further add to the theme. Another parachute graphic, this time the 1941 Willys version, is positioned on the rear swing gate plaque. The motif is backed by an image of a \u201ca star-filled Smoky Mountain night sky.\u201d<\/p>\n

The package is practical, and the price is mind blowing<\/h2>\n

While the overall appearance of the limited edition Wrangler Smoky Mountain is striking, it\u2019s still a very capable off-roader. It comes with 33-inch tires as standard, though you can opt to upgrade to 35-inch BFGoodrich<\/a> KO2 All-Terrain tires which are arguably the most premium option on the market.<\/p>\n

Beyond this, the Jeep includes standard steel rock rails, Dana 44 front and rear axles, locking rear differential, 4.10 axle ratio and trailer hitch. Underneath it all, you still have a Wrangler Willys as well. And those are about as good as it gets when it comes to stock off-road vehicles.<\/p>\n

The Rocky Mountain package is only available on the four-door wrangler, though vehicles with both the 2.0L automatic and 3.6L automatic powertrains are eligible. But the most stand out thing about this special addition is arguably its price. Jeep claims the smoky mountain package is available at \u201c$80 above a popularly equipped Wrangler Willys.\u201d Which seems like a bit of a bargain.<\/p>\n
